Tucked way back off the beaten path in Darien, this “park” is more like a 60-acre Nature Bonanza.
Because of its location off of Old King’s Highway Road and back behind office buildings bordering the highway between I-95 Exits 11 and 12, you would never guess that there are over 2 miles of walking trails and 7 distinct ecosystems ranging from densely wooded areas to ponds, marshes, swamps, streams and even prairie pockets. People come to walk, jog, exercise their dogs (on their leashes!!), bird watch, fish (CT fishing lisence required and catch and release only), meditate and just enjoy nature. It’s truly an amazing place and I hope you’ll make some time to check it out — it will be well worth it!
