A Barber Shop Just For Kids

At this point, my 7 month-old son doesn’t have enough hair of his own to need cutting, but I recently accompanied my friend and her 2 year-old to Johnny’s & Company Barbershop in Noroton Heights and was thrilled to discover an entire room dedicated to entertaining kids and cutting kids’ hair.

With unlimited complimentary lollipops, the big red “airplane chair” for toddlers, and friendly, professional barbers, all of whom specialize in children’s hair, it’s no surprise that Johnny Delmonaco, owner and Master Barber, is himself a 5th generation barber: he’s got the game down pat!

The Kids Kutting Room is bright and cheerful, filled with not only toys but also LCD TV screens and a video game. Need a last minute brithday party present? While you’re there, you might purchase any of their selection of games and toys, including a variety of wooden puzzles by Melissa & Doug.

The Kids Kutting Room also offers a large variety of headbands, bows and accessories for hair, as well as a special line of childrens-only haircare products by Circle of Friends.

Walk-ins are welcome, and my friend said it is by far the best quality haircut her 2-year old has received (and the longest he has ever sat still, in awe and wonderment about his surroundings)!
