Hot Tip: Babysitting
It probably comes as no surprise that this is the single most requested topic I get from my friends when we talk about the items I should cover on the site. I’m still figuring out the best way to manage it on the site so that it’s a safe and happy experience for all. But with school ending and summer approaching at warp speed I figured the least I could do is share a hot tip on where to find babysitters of high school age who can do everything from entertain your little cherubs for a few hours each day to chauffering them back and forth from the club or holding down the fort for you at night while you grab some well-deserved social time …. Call the Darien High School Jobs Office. High school students of all ages, levels of experience and levels of availability have submitted their information here, and/or you can fill out a request for exactly the type of sitter you are looking for, and the administrators of the Jobs Office will match you with the perfect high schooler to meet your babysitting needs! They’re only open during the school year M-W-F from 11am-1pm, so you need to act quickly if you want to utilize them before school gets out: DHSJobs@darienps.org Phone: 655-3113
Out of interest, the Jobs Office is a great resource for any and all kinds of odd jobs, from raking leaves to helping serve at parties — they should definitely be on your quick reference list … they’re on ours!
I will update this post as often as I come across new resources that I think will be of value on this topic: don’t forget to check the Classifieds for ads for/from sitters 18 yrs of age and over. Please post a response or send me an email with any comments or additional resources or suggestions!

this is an awesome tip. thanks!
