Quick Copies and Printing Right Here In Town!
Okay, I admit it: I’m completely chain-washed. The Targets and Home Depots and Kinkos of the world have done such a good job of engraining themselves into my consciousness through advertising that now, when I need something, those chains are the only place I think to go. This is one of the main reasons I started this site: to remind other chain-washed residents that, much to my surprise and delight, we can find almost everything we need right here in our little town of Darien!
You might have already read my post about our local hardware store (oh yes, we have one!)… I’d now like to announce to those of us who were not aware of it that we have a printer, every bit as fast and convenient as Kinkos, right on the Post Road. Let Al Rossetti at Executive Printing make those color copies for you or create that giant poster to advertise the school fair. And you can email him your order: easy breezey. Just make sure it’s in .pdf form and let him know how many copies you’d like, any special instructions (i.e. collate them, staple, etc), your phone number and when you’d like to pick them up. Or drop in to his little print shop tucked in to the row of shops (Helen Ainson, Fairbanks Photo, etc) across from the Playhouse.
And Just Say No To Chain-Washing and Yes to Local Merchants!!

I don’t know Al Rossetti. I’m sure he’s got a great local business. But the BEST local gem in the printing business is Marc D’Iorio at D’Iorio Printing. He lives in town and has his shop next door to the back entrance to Wachovia Bank (Post Rd location). He’s the ultimate in local talent. He does super work, understands when jobs need a “rush”, and often helps with pick-up or delivery. He also knows everything there is to know about the Darien Community. Can you tell that I love the guy and his work?
That’s great to know, Marilyn, thanks!!
