Darien Christmas Tree Pick up Schedule

As lovely as they are, the time is approaching for them to take their place on the curb with the rest of the Christmas trees to be picked up and taken away by the Darien Department of Public Works.  Here is the pick up schedule for your planning convenience:

Jan. 9-5 and Jan. 16-20: North of railroad tracks and west of Hollow Tree Ridge Road.

Jan. 6-7 and Jan. 21-22: North of railroad tracks and east of Hollow Tree Ridge Road, to and including Mansfield Avenue.

Jan. 8-9 and Jan. 23-26: North of railroad tracks and east of Mansfield Avenue.

Jan. 12-13 and Jan. 27-28: South of railroad tracks and north of and including Post Road.

Jan. 14-15 and Jan. 29-30: South of railroad tracks and south of the Post Road.

Christmas trees must be at the curb by the first morning of the scheduled pick-up.

Pick-up is conducted on public streets only.

Public Works does not have specific times for pick-up. In the event of significant snowfall, the program may be delayed.

Wreaths, brush, grass clippings, garbage or other materials will not be collected.

Trees with bags, netting, stands or lights will not be collected.

Residents with valid RDA stickers may still bring trees to the dump.
