This July 4th, Pick Up Jenny’s Pennies
In addition to the food vendors, craft vendors and live entertainment at the post- 4th of July Push and Pull parade fair at Tilley Pond — which, by the way, had attendance of over 3,000 last year — you will also have the opportunity to meet the local author of “Jenny’s Pennies: A Nantucket Tradition“, Peter Saverine, who will be selling and signing copies of his whimsical new book, and donating $5 from every purchase to the YWCA.
Inspired by the author’s personal history of “see a penny, pick it up …” and summers spent on Nantucket, this gorgeously-illustrated and timeless tale is a must-have for anyone, young or old, who loves the shore or a feel-good story of luck, hopes and dreams. Make sure to look for Peter this Saturday between 10am and 12pm to get your signed copy!
