Fall Leaf Pick-Up
There are few things I find more frustrating than driving thru town and seeing bags of leaves, packed full and firm and lined up neatly along the front of peoples’ yards and driveways, and realizing that I TOTALLY MISSED THE MEMO. So I’m pleased to be one of many online sources to report that leaf pick-up begins Monday. Here’s the scoop (so to speak):
Leaves should be packed in biodegradable paper bags (I think you can get them at Stop & Shop, by the way) and may be left on the curb (public roads only) for pick up by the Department of Public Works.
Bags should be curbside and ready for pick-up by 7 a.m. on the dates that follow:
- Monday, Nov. 2: North of Railroad Tracks
- Wednesday, Nov. 4: South of Railroad Tracks
- Monday, Nov. 16: North of Railroad Tracks
- Wednesday, Nov. 18: South of Railroad Tracks
- Monday, Nov. 30: North of Railroad Tracks
- Wednesday, Dec. 2: South of Railroad Tracks
