Ho-Ho Helping Hands in Darien This Holiday
Feeling stressed? Or not? Here are a couple of opportunities to get a little help with holiday preparations:
Child’s Play Drop-off at the Darien YMCA, Saturday December 12th and December 19th - any block of time between 10am and 4pm – Overseen by the YMCA’s talented staff, activities will include crafts, gym, group games, lunchtime and snacks, movies and more! To make a reservation for your potty-trained 3 to 10 year-olds, call: 203-655-8228.
Depot Wrap-Up — drop-off present-wrapping by Depot Elves from December 18th to the 23rd, 3pm-8 pm weekdays and 11am-8 pm weekends. Here is how it works: you bring your unwrapped but clearly labeled gifts to the Depot (better yet, put gifts for each child in their own bag). You can bring your own wrapping paper or you can choose from the huge collection on-site. The Elves go to work wrapping them while you can grab a quick bite to eat at the Depot’s concession stand or continue shopping and drop back later and pick up your beautifully wrapped presents. This is a fundraiser for the Depot, so the Elves are donating their time and request a minimum donation of $20 from you for their service. But if you hate wrapping (and/or love the Depot), it’s well worth it!
