Contrary to what I stated in prior posts (and popular belief because of its timing in prior years), this Carnival is not associated with either the Darien Chamber OR Sidewalk Sales: rather, it is a celebration produced by the town of Darien as a replacement for fireworks.

Which means NEXT weekend ALSO offers an opportunity for family fun, with inflatables and race cars and concerts downtown to celebrate Darien’s 2010 Sidewalk Sales! This year, more than 70 local businesses will be participating in the 3-day downtown sales frenzy, so the pickins’ should be quite good!!
