Designer Resale at Roundabout

Hi again, it’s Jan … and I’ve been shopping!

Last Saturday I went snooping at ROUNDABOUT, the resale store next to the Darien Playhouse. They currently have a great selection of designer handbags. Mostly in the $300-$450 range. Some of them, like this Tod’s bag, are very gently used. Some others, like the very colorful Etro bag, are brand new and are 1/2 the retail price!

A Gem of a Jeweler

Hi again, it’s Jan … and I’ve been shopping!

Robby Lagravinese, the young man who owns this high-end jewelry store in Downtown Darien, couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. He has done some repairs and appraisals for me and cleaned my rings so that they truly glisten.

His selection of jewelery is gorgeous, and he has a large following of loyal customers who swear by his expertise and professionalism.

The earrings and necklace below are by Meira T. in green gold and diamonds and are $675 and $1250. The gorgeous multi stone ring is by Gabriel and is $595.

Lagravinese also carries a full line of mens cufflinks, silver charms and other great things. The store is across the plaza from the melting pot at 20 Grove Street.

(The location is oh-so-convenient to the train station, making fabulous gift-buying VERY easy for the busy commuter …. hint hint, hubbies!)

Hi again, it’s Jan … and I’ve been shopping!

Sometimes, wandering off the beaten path in Darien pays off! A new kitchen/bath/tile accessories and home store has opened on the Post Road.

D&D Fine Homes is located at 1918 Post Road, right between St. Luke’s and St. John’s. They have a beautiful new showroom and make all their own cabinetry. Many of their tiles are quite unique. Their showroom isn’t even finished yet, but what is there is lovely.
