Hi, it’s Jan, and I’ve been shopping again!
Did you know that this year is the 40th anniversary of Woodstock? I missed it myself, and my kids are still asking me why i didn’t go!
Well, to celebrate, I am buying my 4 year-old grandchildren these fun T-shirts from Johnny’s on Tokeneke Rd.

These are just a few of the children’s T’s that will remind you of your youth…or your parents’ youth. They are also available in ‘onesies’ for really little hipsters, and cost between $16 and $20. Great gift ideas!
And, if you think you’re too cool for cool T shirts, try packing along a bottle of Grateful Dead un-wine. It’s i$15.00 a bottle and will be the TALK of the picnic! You know that you know someone who needs one
of these… Also available at Johnny’s.

All the best,
Jan

Hi, it’s Jan,and I’ve been shopping again!
The next time you have a baby gift to buy, give a great gift that also does something good! These handknit cotton sweater and hats are made by women in a village in Thailand.

You may have heard about Micro Finance, well this is it…women running very small businesses to make enough money to put food on the table! The sweaters are all cotton and you couldn’t make them for the $48.99 and $49.99 that they are selling for.
And here is the real surprise…you will find them in the gift department at PALMER’S MARKET!
While we are on the subject of kids and gifts, these bookends are terrific for a child’s room. In fact, I’m a painter and I want the art ones!
BARRETT BOOKSTORE stocks these and several other patterns.
They cost $36.00. And while you’re at it, you may want to reach for that middle book in the photos!
All the best,
Jan
