Ever watched the show and wish that peppy British-blonde-with-beret could come to YOUR house and whip the family into shape? Well, wish no longer — the show Nanny 9-1-1 is looking for families in Fairfield County for their show!! My friend Meg at FairfieldCountyChild.com has all the scoop — visit her site for more information.
Speaking of fun events offered by the Darien YMCA (see post below), with the school holiday (Rosh Hashanah) coming up Tuesday, it might be helpful to know that for those of you who do not celebrate the holiday there is a way to still keep the kids occupied in a fun and constructive way …
Vacation Camp is available at the Darien YMCA during most Darien Public School holidays. Offered for 3 year olds thru 5th graders. 1/2 day (9 - 1 p.m.) & full day programs available, as well as extended care. Activities include swimming, crafts, gym, outside play, theme days, special field trips and more.
How cool is that? As a working mom myself, this is SUCH a great program to know about. Hope it’s a helpful tip!
Also, don’t forget about the JOBS Office at the Darien High School as another resource for finding a babysitter for school days off.
(It should probably be called Parents’ Night Out!) Friday, October 3rd, from 6pm to 9:30pm, the Darien YMCA is inviting you to drop off your potty-trained 3yr old (s) or older for a giant P-Jay Party!! Overseen by the Y’s capable childcare and educator staff, the little ones will enjoy a dinner of pancakes, sausage and bagels (breakfast for dinner?! SILLY!!) in addition to arts & crafts, games & gym, movies, snacks and fun with their friends for 3 and 1/2 blissful hours … so register asap before space runs out! Registration began Monday at the front desk of the Darien YMCA. Call for more information.
Members: $20 1st child, $15 additional child
Non-Members: $25 1st child, $20 additional child
While you’re at it, reserve your kids’ spot(s) for the November 7th Luau night out!!
