So I was driving through the Darien train station parking lot the other day (I know, but I was going slowly) and noticed this beautiful, stylized white wooden sign to my left that read “Grove Street Parking Lot.” And I thought to myself, ‘huh, I’ve never even noticed that there was a parking lot there’ … and then, straight ahead, I saw another white wooden sign that read “Leroy Avenue Parking Lot: Permit and Vouchers Only.” And ever since then I have noticed nothing but these gorgeous white wooden signs, and as a result have been introduced to parking options that I never knew existed during all of my years growing up in town! So keep an eye out for the signs and I bet you’ll discover a whole new variety of parking options throughout town! A big thank you to Darien Revitalization Initiative — that’s definitely a major improvement to our downtown area.
