It’s another busy day in town today! Here are some highlights: This morning at 9:30 am at Hindley School, Darien school officials will be offering a parent workshop on the K-5 Curriculum, looking particularly at shifts in the literacy and math curriculum as the Common Core is implemented. Barrett Bookstore continues the rollout of their new storytime program with Reading with Riley and Waffles, geared toward children ages 4 to 7, today from 3:30 to 4. What’s Doing in Darien ~ Weekend of October 4th

  This weekend is all about the Tokeneke Pumpkin Carnival. My kids have been looking forward to it since last year, and this year is sure to thrill them all over again. It’s on Saturday, from 10-4 (rain date is Sunday). If you’re looking for indoor fun with your kids, check out Star Wars Reads Day at Darien Library.
