DARIEN FIREWORKS: Friday, July 3rd (Raindate: July 5th) at the Darien High School. Festivities begin/doors open at 6:30pm. This is a fun, family-oriented community event that includes picnic food for purchase from Bodega, Melt Mobile, LobsterCraft, Uncle’s Deli, Meatball and Co, Gofer Ice Cream and Non-stop Donuts. There will be balloons and potentially other children’s entertainment, so bring a blanket, BUG SPRAY, flashlight, walking shoes and your American Pride – and plan to settle in for a great evening!
Parking passes for parking on Darien High School campus may be purchased (while supplies last) for $25 each at the Darien Town Hall starting June 22, b/w 8:30am and 4pm. Otherwise, parking is every man for himself! Restrictions will be posted as they become available.
Additional Area Fireworks:
For a second serving of fireworks fun, don’t miss New Canaan’s Waveny Park on Saturday, July 4th: rain date is July 5th. Late day activities will include: family picnicking, live music, children’s games area, food court, and a spectacular fireworks display. Residents pay $30 per car, and non-residents pay $60 per car. Insider Scoop: Make sure to bring bug spray, a blanket, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to do a LOT of walking! It’s well worth it to get there nice and early, but worth the hike either way!
