A few years ago, I was desperate to find a special way to mark our Easter celebration that did not revolve entirely around chocolate bunnies. I was delighted to find that my friend Jen St. Jean, the designer and founder at the Itty Bitty Bag Company, was designing a line of handmade Easter baskets!
Just in time for the holidays, a fabulous new store opens in Noroton Heights! Offering home decor, lamps, fine linens, candles, gifts, monogramming and more, this store is run by a longtime Darien resident with impeccable taste and former ties to the Linen Shoppe in New Canaan. Located next to Heights Pizza at 300 Heights Road. Holiday hours: Mon-Sat 9:00am to 5:30pm, Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Tell Alicia we say hi!
For a festive evening of shopping and fun, join downtown Darien’s Olivette, Helen Ainson, Spree, Wiggles & Giggles, Everything is Rosey and Wendy’s Closet in this one night only event from 5pm-8pm on November 21, 2013. A $20 donation at one of the doors gives you 20% off at all participating stores, plus a chance to get a jump on holiday shopping, while helping support your local merchants and local charities including Opus for Person-to-Person, The Community Fund of Darien and the Darien Arts Center!
Speaking of tax free week and freshening up for fall, did you know that Helen Ainson stylists offer an independent service called Style Solutions, which includes an in-home wardrobe consultation? Whether you want to make the most of the wardrobe you have (they’ll help you update, mix and match in new ways to keep you looking current) or completely update your look (re-entering the workforce? just want to look and feel great this fall?) the girls from Style Solutions can make it happen for you. Conveniently and confidentially. Men or women! For more information check them out here.
