 Darien Public Schools Spring Break

For those of you with little humans who are not yet in school, here’s a heads up that next week is spring break for Darien public schools. For those of you who are not fleeing town for warmer weather with a ZOING this afternoon, check out our  Spring Break Survival Guide for scoop on vacation camps and classes offered next week.

 Boy Scouts 43rd Annual Giant Tag Sale

Tax-deductible donations are now being accepted for this mega-event on May 3rd — drop-offs begin next week, or you can call to arrange for pickup. Click here for complete information about this bonanza tag sale event.

 Beach Stickers On Sale

You’ll need a beach sticker to enter Weed Beach beginning April 15th — but if you’ve got one, last year’s permit will suffice through the end of May.  Shopping Scoop

  • A chic new shop has opened on Tokeneke Road called Town House Finds & Designs.
  • At Home in The Heights now carries Company C, a home decor line that is renowned for their affordable, decorative wool rugs but has greatly expanded their line to include bedding, table linens, throws, shower curtains as well as furniture with a wide array of fabric choices.
  • Learning Express is closing its Darien and Westport stores and offering discounts of 20% and more, storewide in both locations.
