There’s excitement in the air as families prepare for the first day of school on Monday (click here for bus schedules, lunch menus, and more.)

For preschoolers whose school programs won’t start for a few more weeks, we highly recommend the sanity-saving Chipmunks program at the Darien Nature Center.

And school may be back in session, but the summer fun around town continues! On Friday September 4th , Big Hero 6 will be playing for free at Weed Beach. Free Friday night concerts continue at Grove Street Plaza through end of September. The library will be hosting Stories by the Sea at Weed Beach on Tuesdays in September beginning September 8th.  And Rowayton rocks Sunday night concerts through Labor Day weekend, with Spirit Family Reunion this week at Pinkey Park and Blues Traveler (squee!) next weekend at Bayley Beach.
We’re glad to have you here. If there’s something you want to see at AllAboutDarien, let us know! In the meantime, here’s our take on what’s good to know this week…
