Darien Public Schools are closed on Monday in observence of Yom Kippur.

 New DPS Website

Speaking of Darien Public Schools, check out the newly-redesigned website – we think it’s great, and we sure hope ASPEN is next on their list of overhauls!

 Person-to-Person Desperate for Children’s Clothing

If you’ve still got the bags and boxes of last years’ outgrown clothes in your mudroom or garage, please hurry them over to the P-to-P donation center behind St. John’s Church in Darien, as they are in desperate need, especially for kids’ clothing.Donations are accepted Mon-Friday from 9am-4pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12noon.

 Donations to Help Feed Hungry Children

Eleven local churches have committed to packing 200,000 meals at a cost of 22 cents/meal on Saturday, October 17th 10:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.  and Sunday October 18th 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Middlesex Middle School. Sign up to volunteer starts at 10 am on Monday, September 21st here. Please consider a donation toward the $33,000 of fund raising still needed to make this event a success.  Darien YMCA Travel Basketball Tryouts

General registration opens for Winter Basketball (grades K-12) for YMCA members on Sept 29, 2015; non-members on Oct 13, 2019.  Travel basketball tryouts begin on October 15th, 2019 – see here for schedule by grade.

Growth Through Divorce Support Group
Learn why divorce doesn’t have to be the “D” word, but can actually be a time of great personal growth.

Lean on others who are also going through the un-coupling process for support in a caring and safe group.

This group will meet on the third Thursday of every month at Total Life Care Center, 52 East Ave., Norwalk, CT.
